Employee WorkHealth Checks
Nursing Australia is an Endorsed Service Provider (ESP) for the WorkHealth WorkSafe program which provides Victorian workers with WorkHealth checks in their workplace.
By participating in these WorkHealth checks, workers will learn more about their risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. The checks look at factors that impact personal health such as diet, exercise, smoking and alcohol consumption.
Nursing Australia is a leading supplier of healthcare staffing services with over 20 years experience nationally. WorkHealth checks are performed by Registered Nurses who are experienced and trained according to the WorkHealth WorkSafe program.
Each check takes about 15 – 20 minutes, with feedback and advice provided immediately based on results.
- Complete a short questionnaire
- Have their waist circumference, blood cholesterol, blood pressure and blood glucose measured
- Receive immediate information and advice based on their on results
Participation is voluntary and each worker’s results will always remain strictly confidential.
Organisations with an annual remuneration of less than $10m will receive full reimbursement for the cost of the WorkHealth checks, meaning they are free.
Organisations with an annual remuneration of over $10m will be charged $50 for each WorkHealth check. WorkHealth WorkSafe will reimburse $30 towards the cost of each, meaning the ultimate cost to your organisation will be $20 per WorkHealth check.
