Hazard and Incident Reporting

Whilst every attempt is made to place members in a safe workplace, Nursing Australia recognises that accidents do occur and that hazards may still exist.

The early reporting of incidents, injuries and hazards is encouraged with all employees and members no matter how minor the incident or hazard is. Early reporting allows Nursing Australia to effectively manage the incident and also to help ensure that controls are implemented to prevent further injury or harm. All incidents and hazards can be reported by contacting Nursing Australia on 13 10 95.

Reporting of incidents and hazards also helps Nursing Australia to gather information regarding high risk activities or workplaces. This allows us to implement proactive safety programs to help reduce risks in these areas. As a result, Nursing Australia relies on members to report all incidents and hazards, no matter how minor they are.
